Perfectly Hung – Terms & Conditions

Last updated:

1. Scope of Work

Perfectly Hung ("the Company") provides picture hanging, art installation, mirror installation, and related services as agreed with the client prior to commencement of work. Any variations or additions must be confirmed by the Company before being undertaken.

2. Warranty

2.1 Coverage

The Company provides a warranty covering defects in the fixtures and fittings supplied and installed by us for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.

2.2 Warranty Limitations

The warranty applies only to:

  • Fixtures and fittings supplied and installed by the Company.
  • Issues arising from proven defects in materials or workmanship.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by the client, third parties, or accidental impact.
  • Installations altered, adjusted, or removed by anyone not authorised by the Company.
  • Situations where the client insists on a specific placement or method contrary to the installer's professional recommendation.
  • Environmental changes (e.g., humidity or temperature shifts) affecting walls, fixings, or artwork.

3. Ownership of Materials

All fixings, materials, and equipment supplied by the Company remain the property of the Company until full payment has been received. The Company reserves the right to remove or reclaim any goods not paid for in accordance with the agreed terms.

4. Liability

4.1 Maximum Liability

The total liability of the Company for any claim, whether arising from contract, negligence, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total value of the invoice for the work carried out.

4.2 Exclusions

Neither party shall be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
  • Loss of income, profit, business opportunity, or reputation.

Artwork or mirrors themselves remain the responsibility of the client at all times unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Cancellations & Access

5.1 Cancellation Policy

Jobs cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed quotation.

5.2 Access Requirements

If installers cannot begin or continue work due to circumstances beyond their control—such as lack of access, unsafe conditions, or undisclosed structural issues—the Company may charge for lost time or apply the cancellation fee where appropriate.

6. Parking & Additional Costs

Where free parking is not available, the client agrees that any parking fees or congestion charges incurred during the appointment will be added to the final invoice.

7. Payment Terms

Invoices are payable upon receipt, unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing prior to the commencement of works. The Company reserves the right to charge for late payments in accordance with UK late payment legislation.

8. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that walls, surfaces, and structures are suitable for installation.
  • Disclosing any known issues (e.g., hidden pipes, electrical cables, weak plaster).
  • Following the professional guidance of the installer regarding placement, fixings, and methods.

If the client instructs the installer to proceed against professional advice, the Company accepts no responsibility for resulting issues, and such work will not be covered by warranty.

9. Call-Outs & Non-Warranty Claims

Where a call-out or inspection determines that an issue is not the result of faulty workmanship or defective materials supplied by the Company, the visit will be chargeable at the Company's current call-out rate.

10. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for delays, damage, or failure to perform obligations where such circumstances arise from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Fire, flood, storms, or other natural events
  • Theft, vandalism, or criminal acts
  • Power failures, technical disruptions, or access restrictions
  • Acts of third parties
  • Any event deemed a force majeure under UK commercial law

11. Proof of Purchase

A valid invoice or receipt may be required for any warranty claim. Failure to provide valid proof of purchase may result in the claim being rejected.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
